Let's Celebrate

Fantastic news for all of us at St Paul's and the Parish. We had some excellent news on Tuesday about our bid to the North Yard Community Trust. I received a very late call from a very excited Mr Pearce about our bid. We were successful and had secured funding for just over £25 000 to develop our playground areas! The plans were constructed through the children's designs, negotiated and developed with the School Council. In this weeks newsletter there is a copy of the plan that includes all of the apparatus, line markings features that the children selected. As you will see this includes playground markings for both of the playground areas, low level and a high level adventure trails, p

First Holy Communion

What a wonderful evening? I felt truly privileged to be at school on Saturday and see eleven of our year 3 pupils come in to meet Mrs Morris and Mrs Hawcroft before their first Holy Communion. The school hall was buzzing with excited children who looked absolutely wonderful. They were accompanied by family and friends who shared in their excitement and you could see the pride on all of their faces. We all shared in a very moving Mass led by Father Tim. Throughout, the children were involved, leading prayers, readings and singing which they expertly did with clear voices that we all could hear. The children were truly proud to be taking this step in their lives and did so with beaming smi

Bishop Mark at St Paul's

What an amazing day we have had at St Paul's today- we had a visit from Bishop Mark. He spent the morning in school meeting the children, staff and some governors and finding out about our school. During the time he went around to all of the classes and spoke to the children about their learning and took part in a whole school assembly that was led by our wonderful children. The children in all classes took part and did an amazing job leading our assembly. Bishop Mark formally introduced himself to the children and told them a little bit about his job and what he does on a daily basis. The children were fascinated by his stories and seeing the mitre and staff, as were the teaching team!
