The end of another busy term at St Paul's
I cannot believe we are at the end of another term and that the clocks are about to change. This has been an exceptionally busy week as all classes have been leading Holy Week Assemblies. They have done this brillantly and the message of the time of year has been very meaningfully shared.
During the last week we have been involved in several events in the community with a great deal of success. Last Saturday evening some of our children took part in a singing competition at Mutley Baptist Church. The group of four sang beautifully in front of a large audience. There were five schools in the competition, one of the schools had approximately 70 children singing. Our perfect group came third in the competition- well done children, and a big thank you to Mrs Stevenson for supporting you.
Success on the field! Our year 3/4 girls football team took part in an academic council Football Tournament on Wednesday at MAP. They played several games against other teams in the area during the afternoon. The children were very determined and passionate about the tournament. When they got back to school the were very excited to tell me... they had WON! All I can say is brilliant, I am so proud of you all- this is a real achievement.
Fundraising update this term- For Red Nose Day we took part in a fundraising event through buying noses and other things on the day. As a school we raised £300.90- thank you Mrs Reid for organising this.
Year 5 Bring and Buy Sales- The year 5 class have raised a wonderful £159.72 through their bring and buy sales. Well done all of you- you make great sales people!
Once again, the term is at the end and I just wanted to say thank you everyone for all your support this term. I trust that you will have a relaxing and special time with your families across the Easter period. We will see you again on Monday 13th April.
