St Paul's Latest Update
Message from Mrs Anderson…
Thank you to everyone who supported the key stage 2 children with their Remembrance/All Saints and Souls Mass yesterday. The children have had time this week to reflect on the sacrifices given by others through wars and conflicts to ensure freedom and safety for many. It was lovely to see some of our community, who are ex-servicemen at the Mass.
We have also had a busy week carrying out some fundraising for Children In Need, thank you for your contributions for the cake sale, the children enjoyed the cakes during play time. The children have come into school very happy today in their ‘Onesies’- great to see all the different styles and characters on them. As you can imagine they have all been very excited! We appreciate your support with this and will let you know how much money we have raised as a school.
Parent and Children’s Survey
Please can I urge you to complete the parent and child surveys so that we get feedback from as many people as possible. I know many of you have already started to return these so thank you. We will be analysing this once they are complete and will let you know the outcome.
Parent Advisory Group
Following on from the parent surveys and considering actions from this we would like to start our Parent Advisory Group. Ideally we would like to have a representative from each class who will meet and work with me looking at areas for development at St Paul’s. Feedback from the survey will be a really good place to start and it would be good if we could have our first meeting before Christmas. Please can you email me if you are interested, my contact address is firstname.lastname@example.org. We will aim to meet six times a year and the meetings will be during the school day.
16th - 20th November is our E-Safety and Anti- bullying week. The staff have been very busy this week planning for this safety focused week. Throughout the week it would be really useful if you could ask your child what they have been doing linked to these areas. On the Friday afternoon we would like to invite you all to come into school- the first part of the afternoon will be in the class with your children finding out about their learning. After that there will be a session from partners South West Grid for Learning on Keeping our Children Safe in this digital age. This will be an excellent session and a great opportunity to find out how your children are using technology. Please join us in school for the afternoon 1.15 - 3.15pm.
More Eleven Plus Success- Let’s Celebrate!
A huge congratulations to Lauren and Abi Foweraker who also passed their eleven- plus. We are so proud of the girls who were successful this year.
