Hot, hot, hot...

Message from Mrs Anderson...

I think the children will be glad of some time at the weekend to relax and cool down. They have managed extremely well this week with the heat in the classrooms. Please can you ensure that your children come in with sun hats, sun cream applied and plenty of water to drink during the day. It is vital that they are prepared and protected from the sun- please support. I hope that you all manage to have some fun in the sun over the weekend. If the weather continues next week, there is no need for the key stage 2 children to wear ties or bring a jumper- all about keeping cool.

Thank you to those of you who came to our St Peter and St Paul Mass this morning, it is always wonderful when we have our families and friends with us.

Goodbye and Welcome back…

Today was the last day for Miss Atterbury who has been teaching in year 1 this year- it has been wonderful having her as part of the team. She has done a superb job teaching our year 1 class. On behalf of the staff and governors I would like to thank her and wish her the best of luck with her new teaching post.

Welcome back to Mrs Griffiths, who is back teaching year 1 from Monday. It will be great to have her back as Assistant Headteacher following her maternity leave with baby Shem.

Congratulations to Mr Mudford who will be joining the St Paul’s team permanently from September. He will be one of the key stage 2 teachers, we are delighted to have him as part of the team and know he will soon get to know everyone.

The annual school reports will be coming home on Monday, please can you make sure you look out for these. The details of your child’s new class teacher will be on the report letter. Save the date of Tuesday 17th July between 3.30 and 5.30pm (drop in) when you are invited into class to celebrate your child’s learning this year. Their books will be out to view and the class teachers to have an informal chat if you require.

Dates for diary- FOSP

School Disco: Friday 6th July

Celebration Assemblies: 13th July afternoon

School Fair: Friday 13th July

Enterprise week…

This week has been ‘Enterprise week’ at school where each class has been developing their own Enterprise. The idea is for them to make/create a product that they can then sell later trying to make a profit. They will be selling their products at the Summer Fair this year which will be very exciting to see. There have been some really good ideas and some very creative children.
