It is very exciting that at the end of the academic year we were awarded our Silver Sainsbury’s Games Mark.
To achieve this mark we had to ensure that:
At least 35% of KS2 children were participating in after school curriculum
To compete in at least three level 2 competitions
Match reports are on the website from all events
Engage at least 10% of children in leading and managing sports activities
Have active links with local sports clubs
This year we are working towards achieving our Gold Sainsbury’s Games Mark.
We decided this year to invest in a new PE scheme – Real PE. An amazing scheme of work that allows children to become independent learners through challenging themselves. It focuses on the 3 fundamental skills: agility, balance and co-ordination. It promotes healthy competition and cooperation between the children. We have even bought new PE equipment to support the delivery of these sessions.
Clubs that we have running this term are:
Monday: Dance club with Tanner J
Tuesday: Netball with Miss Hill and Mrs Hawcroft
Thursday: Football club with Argyle
Coming next term:
Basketball club and Multi-skills club (days to be confirmed)
